Can't Stop the Funk

Recovery from the storm that once brought New Orleans together threatens now to tear it apart. It's an election year and suddenly the city's poorest neighborhood is the focus of a campaign of disaster capitalism that threatens to once again displace citizens who were only recently able to rebuild. Detective Holland and NOPD's Chief of Detectives want to know who is trying to buy the new home the Make It Right Foundation built for their favorite sous chef. The local king of gentrification and developers from out of town have the favor of the neighborhood's Councilwoman so it's up to Detective Holland, despite his 'talent' for making a mess of things, to avoid stirring the city's treacherous political waters while finding an answer.
